This crazy. This group is one of the VERY first families I photographed 10 years ago when I started my business! When I go into my gallery hosting site, this is literally the first family gallery in the family category. I photographed them for practice because at that time I think they were the only family I knew with young children. My oldest was a few months old and I brought him with me and I lugged him around in his car seat carrier thingy the whole time. Pretty sure my husband came along too because I was nervous and didn’t think I’d be able to make everyone feel comfortable because people scared me back then. 10 years ago. 10. years. ago. TEN! So much has changed since then. The oldest two kids are in college. My little guy that I carried around in his carrier is now 10 and too heavy for me to lift for more than a few seconds at a time, and I’ve had two more children who are also mostly too big for me to carry. Absolute craziness. So to say that it was an honor to photograph this family again is an understatement. They were so kind to let me practice on them all those years ago, and I loved getting to see the kids all grown up, all feelings of old ladyness aside. (I mean, I held Seth when he was a NEWBORN and now he’s in COLLEGE?!?! What is up with life?)
