Get to know me:

01.

I've been married to my high school sweetheart, Seth, since 2004. He’s my best friend in the entire world and someone I never get sick of spending time with.

02.

I'm a homeschooling mom to three adorable, hilarious, and amazing children (boy, girl, boy).

03.

I've been nicknamed "The Finder" because I have a knack for locating lost or misplaced items. One time I even found a single car key that we'd lost in Lake Michigan in 4 feet deep water.

04.

Coffee is my love language. give me a good book and a quiet spot to go with it I’m all set! (I’m always looking for new bookish friends, so feel free to add me on Goodreads!)

05.

I’m a hardcore introvert (INFP’s unite!). I love meeting new people, but I’m not great at small-talk and tend to overshare to compensate for my awkwardness (apologies if you’ve ever been on the unsolicited receiving end of this).

06.

I love cooking from scratch. I don’t necessarily love baking, but My latest obsessions has been homemade sourdough bread (thanks covid!).

07.

My favorite book of the Bible is James.

08.

I love traveling! Whether it’s road tripping to Florida, Camping in Colorado, or flying to another state for a wedding, I’m always up for an adventure!

A peek into my life.

My family is the reason I am so passionate about documenting these memories and creating these archives of your life.

In 2008, I taught myself how to use a dslr with the intention of becoming a wedding and family photographer. It wasn’t until after my first son was born in 2010, however, that I began to realize the value of what I was doing for my own family, and consequently for my clients.

Over the last 10+ years of being a photographer, my family has been the biggest source of inspiration and accountability for me to not only grow my skill, but to see the inherent value of photography as a time capsule. Photographs hold stories. Some are as simple as “here’s what we did today,” but others contain the depth of a book.

Below are some images of my own family that I’ve taken over the years. Each image I’ve included contains a personal story that may not be evident to anyone but me. Some of the images aren’t technically correct, or even “creative,” but to me they hold a wealth of meaning. To be honest, I even shed a few tears compiling these pictures because it all goes so. darn. fast.

My goal as I photograph your wedding or your family, is to empathetically approach it the same way I do my own family. Because I fully understand how fast it goes.
