It’s been a few years since I last photographed this group and it was so great to see them again! One of the things I’ve loved both times photographing this family is how much fun they all have together. There’s a lot of joking and laughing and it’s impossible to not have fun around them.

Another thing I remember being struck by when I photographed them back in 2018 and was true again this time is how much Laura adores everything Midwest. They moved here from New Mexico in 2018, and even though they've settled in, Laura still really loves a good farm field! It was such a delight to see her get excited about standing in a freshly harvested cornfield. Once again, it reminded me that there is a real beauty here in IL that I often take for granted.
