What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?

This one is so hard to answer because we're happy with how everything went! Our favorite part was mingling with everyone at the cocktail hour though - we had the most perfect weather and were on a high from the ceremony and it was so great seeing all of our family and friends.

Also - it was so amazing looking out into the room and seeing all of our favorite people in one place. We still can't believe how lucky we are that so many friends and family flew in to celebrate with us!

Is there anything you would have done differently?

We really can't think of anything we would change.  Everything went so perfect! Anything bad that happened was out of our control anyways so we couldn't have changed it even if we wanted to!

Best piece of advice for brides and grooms?

Work hard leading up until the day of wedding - at which point you should only be a source of information for people but let everyone else do their jobs and help you out.  Your vendors are professionals and you should let them do what they do best!  For any mishaps that happen (like our bus driver getting lost or us running out of wine at 10:30) either let them roll off your back or recognize them as something you're going to laugh about in a couple years.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We took a mini honeymoon to Milwaukee and Door County immediately after the wedding and then we'll be going to Costa Rica for two weeks over thanksgiving!

Final Reflections:

Sara: Make sure that your love and commitment to one another shines through throughout the day.  We made sure to make decisions that represented us as a couple: writing our own vows, highlighting the city of Chicago (our favorite city) through a personalized postcard guestbook and serving pie instead of cake! We also made sure to have a couple Italian touches throughout the night to represent my heritage through our music selection and serving after-dinner Italian liqueurs.  I even surprised Rob with a late night Bacon bar because if you know Rob you know he's obsessed with bacon! Have fun, trust your vendors and you'll be floored how everything just comes together!
