Jesse & Basia | Rockford, IL Wedding Photography

Here are some of my faves from Jesse and Basia's wedding in May!

I just love this image of Basia helping her daughter Addison get into her flower girl dress. Can't you just see this in Addy's future wedding slideshow?

Jesse's reaction to seeing Basia for the first time is so great! Hubba hubba! ;)

Hey there, gorgeous.

Basia is Polish, so they incorporated a bread, salt, and vodka welcome/toast with the parents to celebrate her heritage.

Oh hey, look who it is!! It's Josh and Stephanie! I photographed their wedding back in 2011! :D

Special thanks to the lovely Gisselle for second shooting this wedding with me!

What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?

Basia: My favorite memory is the little one on one time Jesse and I had to ourselves during photos. We were so busy during the reception we hardly had time to talk.

Jesse: The first dance because we shared it with our daughter Addison.

Is there anything you would have done differently?

Basia: I would hire a wedding coordinator to make sure things were running smoothly the day of the wedding. It was a little stressful having to do it with my matron of honor the morning of.

Jesse: Nothing, everything was perfect.

Best piece of advice for brides and grooms?

Basia: Don't stress the little things, enjoy your time and limit your alcohol intake because it all goes too fast and you want to remember as much as you can! Also make sure you hire a great photographer (*hint hint* Chrissy) because the photos will be the best memories from your day.

Jesse: Take time to stop and take it all in because it goes too quick.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went on a mini honeymoon to Door County on our motorcycle the day after the wedding. For our real honeymoon we are going on a cruise in November.

Final Reflections:

Open bar really was worth the money and everyone had a great time! I don't think that the dance floor was ever empty that was also thanks to the DJ who played great songs.
